Keys of Light

This work is controlled entirely by the visitors: anyone who plays the piano can bring the surroundings to life! Keys of Light by Mr. Beam uses interactive projection to cast light compositions and animations onto the surrounding buildings. Harmony between music, animation and architecture go hand in hand here, producing exciting contrasts as a result. Classical piano versus modern techniques, a small gesture of a single piano key versus a theatrical performance.

Mr. Beam is an artists' collective which designs spatial projections and animations.

Although their portfolio mainly consists of carefully orchestrated shows, for the 2018 Ghent Light Festival (in collaboration with Adriaan Wormgoor), Mr. Beam has created a unique installation whose appearance is determined by the onlookers.
