2018 is the year of peace in Ghent. Together with the children from the Leefschool De Oogappel, designer Sibylle Debusseré and visual artist Martin Hoevenaar have transformed the peace theme into a participatory work of art made of reclaimed materials. The result? Charmingly illuminated birds, reflecting how the children feel about themselves: little birds of happiness.
